This site is provided by the Canadian Paediatric Society. When you access the site you are confirming your acceptance of and agreement with these Terms and Conditions. Our Terms and Conditions maychange at any time, at our sole discretion.

Conditions of Use

Your use of this site shall be entirely at your risk. The Canadian Paediatric Society, its officers, directors, employees or agents thereof, as well as any person associate with the creation and maintenance of this site or its contents shall not be responsible in any manner for any harm, loss or damage, however caused, arising out of your use of this site, including direct, indirect, special, third party or consequential damages. We will not be responsible for any detrimental reliance that you may place upon the site or its contents.

Availability

The Canadian Paediatric Society will attempt to make this site available for use twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week. The Canadian Paediatric Society will not be responsible for any damages that the user or any other persons may suffer if the site is unavailable for use.

Are discounts available?

Bulk discounts are available on many publications. For discounts, contact the CPS at 613-526-9397 ext. 265 or by email.

What types of payment do you accept?

Only credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, and American Express) are accepted in the online bookstore. If you prefer to pay by cheque, please contact Publications at 613-526-9397 ext. 265. to place your order.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Domestic orders are generally shipped within 2-3 business days, and delivered by Canada Post within 7-10 business days for in-stock items. International delivery times will vary by country. Shipping charges are calculated automatically as you proceed through the checkout.

Additional charges will apply for international orders, and the CPS does not pay customs/duties charges on international shipments.

Are rush orders available?

Additional shipping charges for rush services will be added to the regular shipping charges. Rush service is available on a case-by-case basis by contacting the CPS at 613-526-9397 ext. 265.

What about items that are out of stock?

If an item is out of stock you will be informed at checkout. If you choose to order the out of stock item, it will be backordered and you will not be charged for the item until it ships. However, if a backordered item is a part of your order, the shipping charges for that item will be applied to your original order and no additional shipping will be charged when the item is shipped.

Are prices listed in Canadian dollars?

All prices listed are in Canadian dollars and are subject to change without notice.

Does sales tax apply to purchases in the bookstore?

Canadians must pay applicable taxes. The amount is calculated automatically as you proceed through checkout. Canadian organizations that are exempt from paying GST must indicate their GST Exemption No. when completing the shipping information.

How do I return a product?

If you are not satisfied with your purchase, it must be returned within 30 days of receipt. All returns must be authorized in advance by calling the CPS at 613-526-9397 ext. 265. The purchaser is responsible for all shipping costs, unless an error is made by the CPS when processing the order. The CPS will also charge a restocking fee of 10 per cent of purchased price. Returned books must be received in resalable condition. CD-ROMs may not be returned if the shrink-wrap has been opened. Once received by the CPS office, a credit will be issued to the credit card you paid with. Returns are generally processed with 2-3 business days from the time we receive it. Please allow an additional 2-5 days for your credit card provider to apply the credit to your card.

Is the online bookstore the only way to order a CPS publication?

You can also order CPS publications by e-mail at [email protected] or by telephone at 613-526-9397 ext. 265. Orders will not be processed or shipped until full payment is received and processed.
